A collaborative Practice
During a collaborative practice I helped create a magazine: Watermark.
The magazine was focused on exploring Birmingham's canal waterways. Providing environmental awareness through a creative practice.
Watermark Social Media
I created and managed the social media site for the watermark campaign project.
The social media site Instagram was an free and accessible platform to begin our campaign and craft our brand image.
The role of social media manager involved uploading relevant digital content, created by myself and the team.
I wrote post captions which appealed to our target audience. Regular uploads helped maintain awareness, encouraged reader engagement and heightened online brand presence.
I also engaged online with relevant practitioners who reflected our campaign and team ethos.

Interviewing practitioner, Beth Derbyshire, on her 'Rootless Forest Project'. By Amrita Kumar.
The ‘Rootless Forest Project’ explored the notion of home, while also focusing on the forest as a transformation, which was inspired by Shakespeare. The project reflects the conflicts in Afghanistan and the United Kingdom’s veterinary involvement. The forest captures the fleeing of afghan families to the UK and broadcasts these historical events across Birmingham.
